Meds Masrik Kindergarten Expansion
On October 30th the community of Meds Masrik in Armenia’s Vardenis area celebrated the expansion and renovation of its kindergarten. Thanks to the generous support of the Cultural Society of Armenians from Istanbul (MI), two additional buildings on the kindergarten’s campus were completely rebuilt.
This facilitated the kindergarten’s expansion, allowing for two additional groups of children (up to 50 more children) to enroll. In addition, Focus on Children Now funded the reconstruction of a third building on campus, which houses the kitchen, nurses’ station, and administrative offices.
Other support for this important project came from the Community of Vardenis (gas and sewer connection) Developmental Services for Armenia (renovation of the auditorium) and the Sirounian Family (window blinds and kitchen supplies.) Learn more about the progress here.
Support Continued Renovation at KOV School 106
With the support of the Knights of Vartan and two years of SERVICE Armenia volunteers, renovations at the school have made a tremendous difference for its students. There is still more work to do, and donations of any amount help us continue creating a better learning environment for these children. Every contribution brings us one step closer to completing these important improvements. Support here.

They participated in talks about greenhouse projects and youth-led IT initiatives and met Hayk Shekyan, founder and CEO of Shtigen Group, who spoke with them about solar energy and innovation.
What does it actually feel like to be part of Med-Aid Armenia?
We sat down with Talia, a nurse and future nurse practitioner who joined this summer’s Med-Aid trip. Talia shares her firsthand experience, from providing medical checkups in communities across Armenia to connecting with local healthcare professionals and seeing how training can help extend the impact long after the team goes home.
